Nena Wongthanavimok

Nena Wongthanavimok, is a golfer, coach and mentor who enjoys helping others improve their golf game. Originally from Thailand, Nena played for the Thailand National Golf Team before moving to the United States to play Division I golf at the University of Arizona. Her experience as a competitive golfer has taught her the importance of hard work, teamwork, and staying calm under pressure.

Nena graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Care, Health and Society and a minor in Sport Management. She graduated magna cum laude. During her four years on the Arizona Women’s Golf Team, she balanced high-level competition with her studies and made her a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar recipient and several more All-Academic team awards. Through her experience as a competitive golfer, she learned the importance of hard work, discipline, confidence, and staying focused under pressure.

Representing her country in Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific in 2025 and qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur in the same year and made it through the match play. Finished runner-up in the 2025 Big-12 Women’s Golf Tournament individually and helped her team to win a three-way playoff for the school’s first Big-12 conference title.

Nena enjoys working with young golfers and sharing what she has learned through her own experiences. She has coached junior golfers at the Nike U.S. Sport Golf Camp and volunteered with First Tee of Tucson, where she helped young players improve their golf skills through drills and personal feedback. She also teaches young golfers about responsibility, teamwork, and how to interact with others.

As a new coach, Nena is excited to begin sharing her experiences with golfers of all ages and skill levels. She believes that every golfer is different and that learning should be both helpful and enjoyable. Her goal is to create a positive environment where golfers can improve their game, build confidence, and have fun on the course.
